WEEK-4
Week 4
February 26 - March 1
As we stepped into the fourth week of our OJT at DENR, our responsibilities expanded to encompass a variety of tasks. Our days were filled with delving into the archives of old records, immersing ourselves in the rich history of land documentation. Alongside this, we tackled the intricate process of encoding a lot of data, encountering some entries that spanned multiple sheets and contained hundreds of corners, demanding meticulous attention to detail. Additionally, our supervisor tasked us with a new responsibility: encoding a lot of data from 20 envelopes, each marked with a number indicating the cadastral map (CM) it was included in. This added complexity to our encoding efforts, requiring careful organization and coordination.
Furthermore, we devoted time to grooming Lot Data Computation (LDC) records, ensuring their physical integrity for future reference. This involved inspecting and organizing the LDC documents, repairing any damages, and ensuring they were properly stored. By maintaining the physical condition of these records, we contributed to the overall efficiency and reliability of land documentation processes within DENR.
Throughout the week, we encountered various challenges, but our determination and teamwork prevailed. Clear communication and collaboration were essential as we navigated through the tasks assigned to us. Despite the complexity of our responsibilities, we remained committed to upholding the standards of accuracy and completeness in land documentation.
Overall, the fourth week of our OJT was a valuable learning experience, allowing us to deepen our understanding of land documentation processes and hone our skills in research, encoding, and record maintenance.
