WEEK 13 - Last Week of Our OJT
WEEK 13
Last Week of Our OJT
In the thirteenth and final week of our OJT journey at DENR, Kuya Senen, one of the employees in DENR, presented us with our last task: to sort all the envelopes. Each envelope was meticulously labeled with designations such as PSD, CSD, TN, SWO, F, FI, GSD, and more. Over the course of two days, Monday and Tuesday, we devoted ourselves to this task, understanding that it was the final assignment of our OJT experience. Working together diligently, we sorted through each envelope, ensuring that they were arranged according to their designated categories.
Once the sorting was completed, Hanna, Ate Mavic, and I transitioned smoothly into the next phase of our task: encoding. With focused determination, we inputted all the necessary information from the sorted envelopes into the system. This collaborative effort reflected the strong teamwork and camaraderie we had developed throughout our time at DENR.
As Wednesday dawned, we moved on to the final step of our task: tying all the envelopes together based on their sorted numbers. With precision and efficiency, we worked through each bundle, ensuring that they were securely tied and organized. The successful completion of this task marked a significant milestone in our OJT journey, symbolizing the closure of our time at DENR.
On Thursday, as the two boys, Renz and Gairus, assisted Kuya Edderson in returning all the envelopes to their designated shelves, a sense of accomplishment and nostalgia filled the air. We reflected on the countless hours spent organizing, encoding, and completing various tasks within the office walls.
However, our time at DENR wasn't quite over yet. In the afternoon, all the workers in the office needed to attend a regional event, resulting in a half-day schedule. This gave us an opportunity to gather one last time with our colleagues and mentors, reminiscing about our experiences and expressing our gratitude for the guidance and support we received.
The following day, Friday, marked the culmination of our OJT journey as we attended the graduation ceremony for all OJTs at DENR. We were invited to participate in a mini-program held at the DENR office in Rawis, Legazpi. As we received our certificates of completion and bid farewell to our colleagues, we couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions – pride in our accomplishments, sadness at saying goodbye, and excitement for the future ahead.
After the graduation ceremony concluded, we returned to the DENR office, carrying with us some food as tokens of appreciation. Our first stop was our supervisor's office, where we expressed our gratitude for his guidance and support throughout our OJT journey. We also extended our thanks to the SD, showing our appreciation for their leadership and mentorship. As a gesture of gratitude to all the employees, we shared the food we brought, spreading warmth and camaraderie throughout the office.
Before bidding our final farewells, we gathered for a group photo with the SMD family, capturing the memories of our time together at DENR. As we stood together, smiles on our faces, we felt a sense of camaraderie and unity, knowing that we had forged lasting bonds during our time at the office.
With a mixture of emotions, we took a moment to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone present. We acknowledged the hard work and dedication of each individual, recognizing the contributions they had made to our OJT experience. Then, with a handshake and a fist bump, we bid our final goodbyes, knowing that although our time at DENR had come to an end, but the memories and lessons learned would stay with us as we embarked on new adventures beyond the office walls.
